About the event
The Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) invites you to a special remembrance ceremony at Calvary Cemetery to honor the legacy of Irishmen who were pivotal figures in our community in 1884.
Calvary Cemetery, a historic Catholic burial ground, serves as the final resting place for many of the Irish settlers who helped shape Nashville in the 19th century. This event will be a tribute to these early pioneers, including several Hibernian members from that era.
Join us on September 14th, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM as we commemorate their contributions with a ceremony led by Deacon Michael Wilkins and historian Conor Doolan. The event will include a tour of the cemetery and a special marking of the graves of these distinguished Hibernian officers.
Following the ceremony, we invite attendees to continue the celebration at the Lost Paddy (location TBD).
The Ancient Order of Hibernians is a Catholic fraternity dedicated to fostering Christian charity and preserving Irish heritage. As the largest Irish organization in the USA, we are proud to honor our roots and the legacy of our ancestors.
We look forward to your participation in this meaningful event.
